How Yoga Therapy for voice works

Empowered life-expression begins by aligning your body, mind, breath, and voice. Three threads run through every session:

Body

Time-tested yoga practices and yoga therapy techniques release tension and rebuild the body-mind patterns that support a free voice.

Breath

Breath awareness is the bridge. As breathing steadies, the nervous system settles, and the bodymind comes back into balance — the foundation for a free, healthy voice.

Voice

A wellness-oriented, functionally efficient voice method helps you express your truth with intention and authenticity — in singing, speaking, teaching, and daily life.

Try a one-minute nervous system reset: Brahmari Breath

This is the heart of the practice, in miniature.

  • In a seated position, inhale through your nose for a count of 4 or 5.

  • Exhale slowly—maybe twice as long as your inhalation—while gently humming “mmm,” as though the vibration of your voice is buzzing around your forehead.

  • Repeat for 60-90 seconds (5-7 times).

  • Sit for a few moments and notice the sensations of how you feel.
